For river routes, the Chao Phraya Express Boat (15-40 THB) is efficient. Taxis start at 35 THB but can be slow during rush hour (7-9 AM and 5-7 PM). Always insist on the meter or use ride-hailing apps like Grab. **🏘️ Local Tips for 2026** Carry cash for street food and small shops, as many don't accept cards. Dress modestly when visiting temples (cover shoulders and knees). Stay hydrated with bottled water (7-10 THB from 7-Eleven). Book popular attractions like the Grand Palace online in advance to skip queues, especially during peak season (November to February).
