totally intend on missing last train as well

honestly Golden Gai is the obvious spot but it gets packed with tourists on weekends. if you want something more chill try Nonbei Yokocho near Shibuya, tiny alley with tiny bars where people actually talk to each other. just grab a seat at one of the 2-seater places and someone will prob start chatting you up. last train is like 12:30ish so you got a solid window to miss it

honestly just hit Golden Gai in Shinjuku. Find a tiny bar that looks half empty and walk in, the whole point is getting adopted by randoms. Most places have a 1000 yen cover with a drink, and they'll keep pouring if you're chill. If you wanna rage harder, head to Kichijoji after 11pm - Harmony Yokocho stays lively and the old guys running the places don't care if you miss last train, they'll prob just tell u to sleep it off in the park

honestly if you're planning on missing last train anyway just head to shibuya nonbei yokocho. it's this little alley near the station with tiny standing bars, way less touristy than golden gai imo. grab a spot at one of the places that's already packed and someone will prob buy u a drink within 20 minutes

honestly just hit up Golden Gai in Shinjuku, find a tiny bar that looks half empty and walk in. most places there are tiny so you'll end up chatting with whoever's next to you. if you want something rowdier, go to Nonbei Yokocho near Shibuya instead - same vibe but cheaper and more locals than tourists. either way you'll be fine missing last train, just walk to a karaoke place or a manga cafe when they kick you out around 5am

honestly if you're missing last train anyway just head to shibuya nonbei yokogawa. it's this tiny alley tucked behind the station with like 30 cramped standing bars. way less touristy than golden gai and people are friendlier once they've had a few. most places open till like 5am so you can just bounce between them till sunrise
