For a solid checkup without the hospital price tag, try MedPark Hospital on Soi Soonvijai. It's a newer facility with modern equipment but their executive health package for someone your age runs around 3,500 to 5,000 baht, which is reasonable for what you get. I'd skip the big tourist hospitals like Bumrungrad unless you want to pay double for the same blood tests. Make sure they include a lipid panel and liver function since that's what matters most at 40.

Honestly, check out St. Louis Hospital on Sathorn. It's a solid middle ground, not as pricey as the fancy private ones but still thorough, their basic men's health package is around 3,000 baht and you can add extra tests easily.

I've been going to Bangkok Christian Hospital for years now, it's not fancy but their annual checkup packages start around 2,500 baht and the doctors are thorough. Just make sure to book ahead since the place gets packed with locals who know it's good value.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
