I am a 32 f, currently on a solo vacation in Bangkok. I have stumbled upon a massage place on google, where the therapists are blind. Booked a massage online, I have chosen the option „Any therapist, male or female" option, and had the best massage of my life.
The place is very nice, professional and prices are on a higher end. The masseuse was a young man, I was provided with clothes to wear and it was an office type massage, alleviating the office job related issues. It was at times painful, but it felt super professional and I immediately felt the change and that it helped my neck/shoulder issue. The guy does not really speak English, so we did not communicate, just asked a few times if I am okay. It was almost completely dark and I cannot fully describe what I felt but somehow I was a bit intimidated by the guy, but did not say or show anything of course and the whole massage was done wearing the massage clothes. I have felt some kind of spark between us.
I have tipped 30% and was very happy and asked his name at the reception.
The day after the following day I have booked a 2 hours long full body oil massage, now specifically choosing him, because his massage really helped.
This time I had to wear a little panty that was provided and I was partially covered with a towel.
He massaged my legs, zero communication (the receptionist lady asked in the beginning what area should be focused on and I told her my shoulders.) and what I noticed that he massaged the thighs very thoroughly, almost touching my intimate parts. I did not react or say anything.
Then, the butt was also massaged in a way that he almost touched my anus. A lot of oil was used. Then it continued and then, when massaging the legs, very quickly and gently, run his fingers through my vulva through the panties. I started to feel aroused, and then, seemingly as part of the normal procedure, he massaged my chest area, my boobs, not in a sexual way but of course as a woman it felt that way and was unexpected (I am European, it is not usual at all).
So I felt both uncomfortable and aroused - and then, again, seemingly as part of the normal procedure, he massaged my hips, pelvic area and run his fingers through my venus. And then proceeded to lower my panties and straight up massage my venus, a few times touching my clitoris. I was shocked but also aroused, I could have had an orgasm basically but I controlled myself and acted like this was normal. He then continued with other parts, head, etc and I was almost shaking.
I then thanked him and he left the room and I paid at the reception and as he was sitting there too, gave him a tip (250 thb).
So my question is - wtf was this? It's not a happy finish cheap parlor place, but it surely cannot be normal? Otherwise he was professional and the massage was like a dream, but how should I understand this?

this is definitely not standard for a legit massage place, even a higher end one. i know the blind massage spots around bangkok, some are really good but they're still regulated by the same professional standards as any other reputable spa. what you described crosses a clear line, especially the genital contact without consent or prior discussion. if you want to figure out if this was a one-off thing or something the place tolerates, you could check google reviews for the specific therapist's name or see if anyone else mentions similar experiences. but trust your gut, if it felt off it probably was, and you don't need to rationalize it away just because the massage technique was good
fwiw i think the other replies are right that this wasn't normal, but i wanna add something about the blind massage places specifically. there's a well-known one near sukhumvit 26 that's legit and famous for their training standards, but even there the therapists are supervised and the rooms have windows to the hallway. your experience sounds more like somewhere in between a legit spot and one of those "extra service" places that sometimes pop up on soi cowboy adjacent streets. the fact that he didn't speak english and you couldn't communicate boundaries is a problem, but also the shift from clothed office massage to oil massage with panties is a red flag on their end. maybe check the google maps listing again and see if there's any mention of "sensual" or "erotic" in the reviews, even in thai, cause sometimes those places get mixed up in search results. either way, 250 baht tip for that is too much, you could've just paid the bill and left.
honestly i think you need to separate the "best massage of my life" feeling from what actually happened. sukhmvit has a ton of legit blind massage places like aura or health land that are super professional and would never do that. the panty thing and genital touching without asking first is a huge red flag even if it felt good in the moment. you could call the place and ask to speak to a manager in thai if possible, just to clarify their policy on intimate area massage. if it was a misunderstanding they'll clarify, if not you'll know to avoid that therapist. but 250 baht tip for that is way too generous imo
best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026
yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
