Longshan Cave Mystery?

Question

So, I'm heading to Longshan Cave next week, heard it's stunning, but the online reviews are...vague. One mentioned something about a hidden passage? Is this a real thing or just local legend spun out of control? I'm bringing my headlamp and a sense of adventure, but seriously, is there actually a secret tunnel people don't talk about, or should I just stick to the main path? I'd hate to get lost in there!!

The hidden passage thing pops up in guidebooks from the 90s, but locals mostly shrug it off. There's a narrow fissure near the back that looks promising, but it dead-ends after about 20 feet, not exactly a secret tunnel. Your headlamp is smart, but the real trick is going on a weekday morning when you can hear the dripping water echo properly without tour groups.

Honestly I've poked around that cave a bunch and the "hidden passage" is just a dead-end crack like the other person said. But if you wanna feel like you found something secret, go left at the first big chamber instead of right, it's a tighter squeeze but opens up to this cool little pool nobody seems to mention.

Yeah, I've heard that rumor too, but it's mostly local legend. Stick to the main path with your headlamp, you'll be fine and the cave's plenty cool without hunting for something that's probably just a maintenance crawlspace.
