if u want a cheaper route try the basement of the ximending eisha area, the small stalls there do press on gemstone sets for like 600 to 900. quality is hit or miss but for a wedding guest look it works. i'd bring ur own design pic tho, communication can be rough if u don't speak mandarin

honestly the best gemstone work I've seen is at a tiny spot on Lane 216, Section 4, Zhongxiao East Road, near the Zara. It's run by a woman who used to do bridal nails in Seoul, and she sources the stones herself, so you get stuff you won't find in the chain salons. Expect closer to 2000 to 3000 if you want the hand set stones, but the detail is worth it. Book ahead on weekends tho, she's usually slammed.

There's a cluster of nail places around Zhongshan MRT, exit 2, the little lanes behind the department stores. A few of them do the full gemstone thing with real Swarovski or those Korean art stones, usually runs 1500 to 2500 depending on how elaborate. I'd just walk around and peek in the windows, you can tell pretty fast which ones actually do it versus the ones that just glue on a couple of rhinestones.

If you have personal experience with a place that helped alleviate jaw tightness or related headaches, please share: - The name of the establishment - The specific treatment you received - Whether you noticed a significant improvement

For muscle-based jaw tightness, the traditional 推拿 places often do better than the fancy facial spas, and they're cheaper. There's a small 國術館 near Shuanglian I go to for neck and jaw stuff, the guy works the masseter from outside and does traction on the cervical spine, which is where a lot of referred jaw tension actually starts. Around NT$800 for 40 minutes, no booking app, you just walk in. It won't fix a real joint problem but if your issue is muscular clenching it's worth a try.

if its actual tmj stuff and not just cosmetic face massage, go see a dentist who does 咬合板 (occlusal splint) first, the massage places treat the symptom not the joint. dr chen at a clinic off fuxing south road near daan park sorted my clicking in like 3 visits, mostly by adjusting my bite & giving me a night guard. the relief from that lasted way longer than any spa facial i tried

my physio at a small clinic near Liuzhangli MRT did intraoral work on my masseter and pterygoid muscles, basically gloved finger inside the cheek releasing trigger points. weird at first but it fixed the morning headaches within maybe 4 sessions. its not a spa thing at all, its rehab, so book it as a medical visit. 針灸 also helped me, the needles go in the jaw and temple, but the physio did more for the actual tightness.
