Omorisanno Hospital Mysteries?

Question

I'm visiting @Japan next month and staying near Omorisanno Hospital. Heard some... *interesting* stories about it. Apparently, it's old, kinda creepy looking even from Google maps, but the local ramen place across the street swears it's got the best tonkotsu broth in the whole area. My question is: Is the hospital genuinely haunted, or is that just local folklore used to scare tourists, or is it *both*? I'm not easily scared, but I'm also not trying to sleep with one eye open all week. I should probably avoid the basement, right?

I've walked past that place a bunch of times and honestly, it's more run-down than spooky. The ramen shop's tonkotsu is legit though, so I'd just focus on that and skip the basement.

The whole haunted thing is mostly just locals messing with people, honestly. I'd skip the basement though, not because of ghosts but because it smells weird and nobody really goes down there. Just grab your ramen and enjoy it outside.

tbh the ghost stories prob started because the building looks abandoned but locals love that. the ramen is the real draw, forget the basement its just storage.

Pretty sure the basement is just where they store old gurneys and cleaning supplies, not ghosts. The ramen's the only thing worth your time there.
