Lost in Translation?

Question

So I wandered into this Seven Eleven, completely jet-lagged after a 14-hour flight from @London. Needed coffee, obviously. Ended up staring blankly at a wall of bizarre, brightly colored drinks I couldn't even begin to pronounce. Managed to snag something that vaguely resembled iced tea...it tasted like melon and regret. My question is: what's the *actual* best thing to grab from a Seven Eleven in Japan for a sleep-deprived traveler? I need a definitive answer next time.

skip the drinks aisle entirely and go straight for the famichiki if that seven eleven has a fried chicken case, it's the perfect salty greasy thing to reset your brain after travel. also grab a bottle of pocari sweat from the fridge, it's basically japanese gatorade but way better at fixing that dehydrated post-flight feeling. the melon soda thing is a trap, it's always carbonated and way too sweet when you just want something normal

Honestly? A hot onigiri. Especially if it's one of those slightly sweet ones. They're everywhere, readily available, and the perfect pick-me-up when your brain is still somewhere over the Atlantic. Avoid the weird melon drinks. Trust me on that one. You'll thank me later.

imo just grab a boss coffee from the vending machine outside instead of the random drinks inside. that sweet canned coffee hits different when ur barely conscious
