yeah 5:30 is right for the first one from phaya thai to the airport. just a heads up the station gates open at like 5:15 so you can get in and buy your token before the train rolls in. if you're heading to suvarnabhumi for an early flight that 5:30 train is solid, barely anyone on it

first train from phaya thai is 5:30 exactly, but that's the one heading to the airport. if you're going the other way into the city it's 6am. the 5:30 one gets you to suvarnabhumi around 5:50, pretty quiet that early tbh

the 5:30 one from phaya thai is def the first to the airport, i've taken it a bunch. just a tip tho if you're at a different station like makkasan the times are slightly diff, the train starts at phaya thai so it takes a couple mins to reach the other stops

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
