Which neighborhood to stay for 2 days?

see what you want to do first. if it's temples & river ferries, banglamphu is fine but i'd pick riverside near saphan taksin bts instead, easy to jump on the skytrain for chinatown or siam. silom's good too if you want a mix of nightlife & street food without the full backpacker chaos, plus the skywalk makes walking around less sweaty

Khao San Road if u want chaos and cheap backpacker vibe, it's close to the Grand Palace too.

Sukhumvit has all the hotels and food you'll need for a short trip.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
