hostels work fine for this, just be smart about timing. most places on Khao San will hold your bag til 10pm or so but if you're hitting the nightlife, you gotta go back for it.

i'd actually suggest the luggage lockers at Hua Lamphong station if you're near there, it's like 50 baht for 24 hours and they're monitored. just take the MRT there, stash it, and you're free to roam without worrying about hostel hours.

for booking, honestly just walk into any hostel on Rambuttri Road (quieter than Khao San) and ask if they do day storage, most will say yes for 50-100 baht even if you're not staying. no app needed

ngl hostels are fine but ur better off at a luggage storage spot near a BTS station if u plan to be out all day. there's a place under Phrom Phong station called "left luggage" that's like 80 baht for a small bag, locked room with cameras. hostels on Khao San are cheap but they'll prob make u walk 10 mins back to grab it before they close at 10pm which is annoying if ur drinking. just google "bag storage bangkok bts" and pick one with 4+ stars, no booking needed just show up

yeah hostels here are fine for bag storage, most have lockers or a locked room behind reception. Khao San Road hostels will hold your bag for like 50-100 baht for the day, just ask at check in. if you're near Sukhumvit, try Lub d or Here Hostel, they're clean and used to travelers leaving bags. book direct on their site or walk in, no need for third party apps if you're already in the area. just don't leave anything valuable loose in a dorm locker, use your own lock

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
