Where to get Kanom Kai Nok Kra Ta near Silom/Sukhumvit skytrain line?

I am looking for a place where I can try these without spending two hours in transit. Any recommendations? I am looking for a place where I can try these without spending two hours in transit. Any recommendations?

honestly just hop off at asok and walk into bangkok's oldest soi, soi 23. there's a tiny old lady cart near the entrance of khlong toei market around 10am that makes them fresh. she's been doing it for decades, better than any shop version. otherwise check the morning stalls at the end of soi sukhumvit 71, near the phra khanong bts stop. both are under 10 minutes from the station

The food court at Robinson Bangrak is fine but if you're on the Sukhumvit line, try the morning market under the expressway near the Phrom Phong BTS exit 4. There's a couple of stalls that do kanom kai nok kra ta with a slightly thicker batter, almost like a mini pancake. They're usually set up until about 11am and cost around 20 baht for a bag. The walk is maybe three minutes from the station, just head towards the Benjasiri Park side.

oh the soi 23 cart is solid but if you want a sit down spot, try the food court on floor 5 of robinson bangrak near the sala daeng bts. they have a rotating vendor stall that does these little eggy cakes, not exactly the same but pretty close and you can grab it with a coffee. also there's a random lady with a cart at the end of soi sukhumvit 39 near the phra khanong canal around 4pm, she does a crispy version with shredded pork inside. both are quick walks from the station

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
