hello, i'll be going over to bangkok for a trip next week and was planning to go thrifting at bangsue shopping centre but im scared that not many shops will be open on a weekday. will i be able to sho… hello, i'll be going over to bangkok for a trip next week and was planning to go thrifting at bangsue shopping centre but im scared that not many shops will be open on a weekday. will i be able to shop clothes on a wednesday (27/12)? will many shops be closed? thank you :)

bangsue shopping centre is actually fine on weekdays, most clothing shops open around 10am and stay till 7pm or so. the big market vibe is more active on weekends but you'll still find plenty of stalls open wednesday, especially on the upper floors. just go early if u want to avoid the heat, the place isn't fully air conditioned

the red building area there is usually fine midweek, lots of the smaller stalls stay open even on slower days so u should be good for clothes hunting

Weekdays are actually way more chill for digging through stuff there, less crowd to fight with. Just aim for late morning and you'll be good.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
