So, I'm heading to The Pattern Boutique Hotel next week, super hyped! I've heard amazing things about the rooftop bar. My only worry is that I'm notorious for losing luggage. Anyone ever had their bag… So, I'm heading to The Pattern Boutique Hotel next week, super hyped! I've heard amazing things about the rooftop bar. My only worry is that I'm notorious for losing luggage. Anyone ever had their bags go missing there or nearby in @Bangkok? Any tips on how to avoid becoming a statistic? I'm picturing myself frantically searching for my favorite silk scarf while sipping a mai tai... not ideal.

Honestly, @Bangkok's a bit of a luggage-loss lottery, especially around touristy areas. The Pattern's in a decent spot, but no place is immune. Best bet? Super-duper obvious stuff: take photos of your luggage before you leave home, keep a detailed packing list (even better, email it to yourself), and make sure your bags are clearly identifiable, bright colours, quirky tags, that kind of thing. And yeah, travel insurance is your friend. Don't skimp on that. Losing your silk scarf would suck, but losing your passport would suck way harder.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
