Seriously, I need a quiet spot a… So, I'm heading to Sukhumvit Road in @Bangkok next month. Heard it's crazy busy, like, always buzzing. My question is: what's the best way to actually sleep there? Seriously, I need a quiet spot amidst the chaos. I'm picturing myself trying to get some rest after a long day of exploring temples and markets, only to be blasted awake by street vendors or thumping music. Any tips from seasoned Sukhumvit survivors on finding some peace and quiet?

ngl, if you're set on being in Sukhumvit, look for a hotel on a soi that dead-ends into the canal instead of the main road. Soi 71 or Soi 81 have some hidden spots where the only noise is the occasional longtail boat, way better than the clubs. Also, a room facing an inner courtyard or the pool is a lifesaver, the street-facing ones are a lost cause no matter how many pillows u stack

Pick a hotel on a dead-end soi. Soi 22 has a few spots like the Ad Lib that are tucked away from the main drag, but you're still a 5-minute walk from Phrom Phong BTS. The rooms there are built around a courtyard with a pool, so the sound just doesn't carry the same way.

Forget the main road hotels entirely, even the expensive ones. The bass from the rooftop bars on Sukhumvit Soi 11 travels through concrete like it's nothing. I'd rather be 10 minutes further from the action and actually sleep through the night.

honestly just book a room with double glazed windows and check reviews specifically for noise complaints. some condos on sukhumvit soi 23 have decent soundproofing

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
