Overstaying My Welcome?

Some say it's quirky and fun, others...well, less so. My concern is the 'overstay' part. Is there a specific reason for the name? Is it just a theme, or are they really lenient with check-out times? I'm a bit of a notorious late sleeper. I'd hate to be kicked out in my jimjams. Anyone stayed there and can tell me if it lives up to (or down to) its name?

Lol, the name is definitely a bit much. I haven't stayed at the Over Stay Hotel myself, but I've heard the "lenient check-out" thing is mostly marketing. Don't expect to sleep in until noon without paying extra. Think more along the lines of a slightly later check-out than your average hotel, maybe an hour or two, nothing dramatic. It's probably just a fun, slightly edgy theme. If you're a really notorious late sleeper, maybe look elsewhere to avoid potential awkwardness. Bangkok has tons of other cool places to stay, you know.

Yeah, I figured the "lenient check-out" was probably a bit of a gimmick. An hour or two extra is fine, I wasn't expecting a free pass to all-day lounging! Thanks for the heads-up, I appreciate it. I'll probably check out some other options in @Bangkok just to be safe. My sleep schedule is... erratic, to say the least. 😅

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
