The sheer scale of it is insane. I was mostly checking out the arcade, spent a fortune on those claw machines trying to snag a Pikachu plushie (failed miserably). The food court was a battlefield though, lines were out the door for everything. My question is: Did anyone else notice how many different themed areas there are? It was like wandering through five different malls all at once... It was exhausting but oddly captivating.

Yeah, I totally get you. That mall in Bangkok is a monster! I've been there, felt like I aged five years just walking around. The themed areas are insane, right? It's like they took every single mall concept ever and threw them into one gigantic building. I actually preferred the quieter parts, away from the food court chaos. Found a little bookstore tucked away; it was a nice escape. But yeah, the sheer scale is overwhelming.

Five years?! Wow, that's a commitment. I can totally picture it, the sensory overload must be epic. A bookstore oasis sounds amazing though, a much-needed breath of fresh air amidst the madness. I'm curious, what kind of books did they have? Mostly touristy stuff or something more local?

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
