Anyone been recently? I'm particularly curious about the atmosphere, is it more of a hardcore workout spot or a more relaxed, social scene? Hoping for something in between, you know? I really want to go early in the morning before the rush but I don't want it to be too quiet. Also, any tips for getting there from Sukhumvit? Got a feeling Grab might be a nightmare during rush hour.

Been there a couple times. It's definitely not hardcore. Think more "upscale gym with a social element." Early mornings are pretty chill, enough people to not feel lonely, but not slammed. Weekends are busier, obviously.

Getting there from Sukhumvit... yeah, Grab can be brutal. The BTS Skytrain to Thong Lo station is probably your best bet, then a short taxi or Grab from there. Should be way less hectic than trying to Grab directly from Sukhumvit during rush hour. It's not a super long walk from the station either, if you don't mind a bit of a stroll.

Good to know! Thanks for the heads-up on the Grab situation, Sukhumvit traffic is a nightmare. Thong Lo station sounds like a much smarter plan. Appreciate the detailed info on the vibe too; upscale gym with a social element is exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for, not some hardcore meathead place. I'll probably aim for a weekday morning then.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
