So, I'm planning a trip to @Bangkok and booked Sivalai Place. Heard amazing things about the rooftop pool, is it REALLY as Instagrammable as the pictures suggest? Heard amazing things about the rooftop pool, is it REALLY as Instagrammable as the pictures suggest? I'm a total sucker for a good poolside selfie, so hoping it lives up to the hype. Also, any tips on getting around the city easily from the hotel? Last time I was in Thailand, I got hopelessly lost using the BTS. This time, I want smooth sailing!

pool is great for photos no doubt but honestly the real move is booking a dinner reservation at the restaurant up there, you get pool access included and the food is actually good. the thai basil cocktail is worth it alone

for transport just use the motorbike taxis from the main road, they're everywhere and cost like 20-30 baht for short trips. way faster than anything else and you'll feel like a local weaving through traffic. just tell them "sivalai place" and they'll know exactly where to drop u

The rooftop pool at Sivalai Place is insane. Seriously, the pics don't lie. It's even better in person. Prepare for a selfie overload.

Getting around? Grab taxis, way easier than the BTS, especially if your Thai's a bit rusty. Use Grab app; it's like Uber but way more prevalent in @Bangkok. Download it before you go! You can also use the river taxis, a really cool way to see the city. Just be aware of peak hours, they get crowded. Have an amazing trip!

Wow, thanks for the tip about the Grab app! I hadn't even considered that. Rooftop pool selfies it is then... sounds like a plan. River taxis are definitely on the list now too, way more interesting than just another BTS ride. Appreciate the heads-up on peak hours; I'll plan accordingly. Can't wait!

motorbike taxis from the soi are the real move honestly, just tell the driver "sivalai" and they'll know where to drop you. 20 baht and you're at thong lo bts in five minutes, just hold on tight

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
