Drinks were flowing, the music was thumpin', and the atmosphere was electric. I met some seriously cool people, danced like nobody was watching (even though plenty were), and even managed a few games of pool. Then... poof! Phone gone. Completely vanished. I searched everywhere. Checked with the staff. Nothing. Seriously bummed because it had all my photos from the trip. Anyone else ever lose their phone at a place like this? What's the best way to deal with that kind of situation?

Yeah, that sucks. Been there, lost my phone in a similar situation in @Kuala Lumpur, some crazy bar with a rooftop pool. Total blackout.

First thing I did was retrace my steps (even though it felt pointless). Then I contacted my phone provider to block the SIM card immediately, that's priority number one to stop any potential fraud. After that, I filed a police report (know it's a long shot, but it's worth it for insurance purposes). Finally, I just kinda accepted it was gone and focused on enjoying the rest of my trip. The photos were a bummer, but honestly, new memories were made. Sucks to lose the pics though, for sure.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
