lost my phone there?

71's pool area is a prime spot for pickpockets because of how dark it gets near the back tables. If you were playing on the table closest to the riverside terrace, that's where most of the reported thefts happen. The CCTV cameras near the bar entrance are the only ones that actually work, so ask them to check footage from that angle specifically. There's a guy named Noom who works the day shift on weekdays, he's been there for years and actually keeps a proper record of lost items in a notebook.

ngl that sucks. if you're going back to check lost and found, hit up the staff near the pool tables specifically, not the front desk. the bartenders rotate shifts so the morning crew might've seen something the night guys missed. also worth asking the bouncers by the riverside entrance, they keep a separate lost pile sometimes.

71 is a solid spot but yeah, it gets packed on weekends. I've heard of people losing things there before, not just phones. The staff are usually decent about checking lost and found if you ask at the bar, but it's worth going back in person during a weekday afternoon when it's quieter. If it's gone for good, there's a decent phone repair shop on Charoen Krung Soi 30 that sells used ones for cheap, no questions asked.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
