You're not alone in finding this confusing. The BTS and MRT are run by different companies, so no single unlimited pass exists. For the MRT, you can get a stored value card at any station, but the BTS still uses the old Rabbit card which isn't unlimited either. Your best bet is probably just getting a Rabbit card for the BTS and a separate MRT card. The airport link at Suvarnabhumi is a third system entirely, so don't expect those passes to work there either.

There's no single pass that covers both BTS and MRT, you'd need separate ones. The MRT does have a stored value card you can get at any station, but it's not unlimited, just tap and go.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
