Jewelers that can help me shorten a bracelet in Sumkumvit area? Recs

honestly skip the mall stalls if you have anything delicate, they use those cheap pliers that leave marks. there's a proper goldsmith on soi 33/1 called siriwattana, tiny shop between the massage places and a 7-11. the old lady runs it with her son, they do chain work properly with the right tools. expect 200-300 baht depending on the clasp type, they'll show u the links they removed so u know they didn't swap anything out

If you're around Phrom Phong, there's a jeweler on the second floor of Emporium near the supermarket entrance. They mostly do watch battery swaps but the old guy behind the counter has a steady hand for shortening chains, about 150 baht. I've used them a few times and they've never scratched a clasp.

try the gold dealer stalls inside robinson department store at asok, they do basic jewelry fixes on the spot for like 100-200 baht. also there's a tiny shop called kim leng near soi 22 that specializes in chain work, been around forever. both will get it done in under 10 minutes while u wait

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
