I need to send a parcel to Canada urgently. I was planning to use Thailand Post's EMS service, but due to the postal strike in Canada, that's not possible.

Is it still possible to send it with FedEx, DHL, or Fastship?

I'm really stressed because my client needs their order as soon as possible.

Thank you very much, and have a great day, everyone!

FedEx at EmQuartier on Phrom Phong is my go-to for urgent Canada shipments, they've got a dedicated counter on the 4th floor near the parking exit. last time I sent a 1.5kg box to Vancouver it was 3,200 baht and arrived in 4 days, even with the strike going on. just a heads up, DHL and FedEx are both fine but FedEx has more flights out of BKK to Canada right now apparently, so it might edge out slightly faster. for the customs form, put "electronic components" or "sample items" and keep the value under 100 CAD if you can, that usually skips any extra checks. your client will have it by mid-week.

dhl on wireless road near chit lom bts has been my go-to for years, they're open saturdays too which helps if you're in a rush. expect around 3,000-4,000 baht for a 1-2kg parcel to toronto or vancouver, arrives in 3-5 days usually. one thing nobody mentioned is that fastship can sometimes be slower if they're consolidating with other shipments, so for urgent stuff i'd just go direct to dhl or fedex and pay the extra. customs declaration is key here, write "commercial sample" or "replacement parts" not just "merchandise" to avoid canadian customs delays

yeah DHL and FedEx are both fine right now, the strike only affects Canada Post. I've shipped with FedEx from their branch on Rama 9 near Fortune Town, it was about 3,500 baht for a 2kg box to Toronto, arrived in 4 days. DHL might be a touch faster but FedEx has been more reliable in my experience for Canada.

if you're near a Fastship office they can prob get you a better rate on DHL, I've used them for smaller stuff and it was like 20% cheaper than going direct. just make sure you declare the contents properly or customs might hold it up on the Canadian side. honestly your client will get it within a week no problem, don't stress too much.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
