ngl if you're into street art and cafes there's a whole stretch in charoen krung that most people miss. the old town area has these hidden alley murals and a tiny coffee spot called nana coffee roasters that does a mean iced latte for like 80 baht. also if you're around this weekend the chatuchak night market on fridays is way less crowded than the weekend version and has some solid vintage stalls
if you're up for it i can take u to the rooftop at river city, it's free and the view of wat arun at sunset is unreal. also there's a boat noodle place near victory monument that slaps for like 50 baht a bowl
honestly depends on what vibe you're after. if you're into local food spots i can take you to a killer soi in ari where the khao soi is only 60 baht and way better than the tourist trap versions. also if you're free this evening there's a cool little jazz bar on sukhumvit 22 that most tourists skip
best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026
yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
