I'm a rookie photographer in Bangkok and I'm looking for recommendations for the best places to capture some great street shots. Also, if anyone is interested in tagging along for a casual photography walk, I'd be more than happy to team up! It would be great to learn from someone more experienced or just have some company while exploring the city. Lemme know your favorite spots or pm if you'd like to join!

good spots for christmas lights but if you want something quieter head to the old town around khao san and the khlongs. the contrast of the tacky holiday decorations against the crumbling shop houses makes for interesting shots. i also like the riverfront near wat arun at sunrise, the light hits the temple in a way that feels almost surreal compared to the mall crowds.

i'm down for a walk if you're going early morning, say 6am around banglamphu. dm me if u want, i know a few alleys most tourists skip.

honestly for street shots during christmas, the area around centralwOrld is insane with the lights and the crowds. also, if you can handle the chaos, chinatown (yaowarat) at night has this unreal glow from all the signs and lanterns, perfect for golden hour vibes.

the christmas displays are cool but honestly the best street shots right now are in the talat noi area. all those narrow sois off charoen krung have these insane murals and the locals still hang their laundry right next to tacky santa decorations. the contrast is chef's kiss for street photography.

if you want something different hit up the flower market at pak khlong talat around midnight. the chaos of vendors unloading orchids and marigolds under those harsh fluorescent lights makes for incredible candid shots. way more interesting than the malls imo.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
