Last time i went to MBK center and it's was Great with arcade games and bowling and big movie theatre but i'm wondering if there is a better place like that?

the mall u actually want is bangkapi, over by ramkhamhaeng. top floor has the happyland arcade which is huge and way cheaper than the Siam ones, plus a major cineplex and bowling, and it connects to the mall via a walkway from the boat pier so u can arrive by khlong saen saep if u want to skip traffic. downside is it's a solid taxi ride from any BTS line, so most tourists never bother, which is exactly why the games are still 20 to 30 baht a play

CentralPlaza Ladprao is worth the MRT ride, it's one of the biggest malls in the city and the top floor has a huge arcade plus a Major Cineplex with IMAX. The whole thing sits right on the MRT at Phahon Yothin exit 4 and it's mostly Thai families so you won't fight tourists for the machines. Bonus is the cheaper food court on the ground level, solid som tam for 60 baht.

Fortune Town on Ratchadaphisek is the sleeper pick if you're into arcades over shopping. Whole upper floors are basically IT and gaming, plus there's a big cineplex and a decent karaoke spot in there. Ngl the vibe is way more local than Siam and it's right at Phra Ram 9 MRT exit 3, so no BTS crowds to deal with. Food court upstairs is cheap too, like 50 to 80 baht a plate.

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
