Bumrungrad's emergency room is efficient if you have the money, but for something like this you're better off at a government hospital. King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital near Siam has a good neurology department and a CT scan there will run you around 2,000-3,000 baht. Just be prepared for a wait, the emergency room there can get packed especially on weekends.

For a possible stroke, time matters more than price. But if you're stable and conscious, try the neurology clinic at Praram 9 Hospital. Their CT scan is around 4,000 baht, cheaper than the private big names and faster than the government queues. Just take a taxi there, it's right off the expressway near Rama 9.

If you think it's a stroke, you don't have time to shop around. Go to a public hospital like Ramathibodi or Siriraj and let them sort you out. A CT scan there will set you back a couple thousand baht, not the 10,000+ you

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
