I was recently diagnosed and live in Bangkok (foreigner working for Thai employer) but I do not have medical insurance (only accident insurance through my employer). One month's supply from the hospital cost me around 2000 baht, and I was wondering if it is any cheaper to buy from a pharmacy instead. Any help would be really appreciated, thank you.

2000 baht for Toujeo from a hospital is actually decent, but you might squeeze a bit more at a pharmacy if you buy in bulk. try the pharmacy next to Bangkok Hospital on Soi Soonvijai, they have a separate retail counter that's often cheaper than the hospital's own pharmacy for chronic meds. if you have a prescription and buy 2-3 pens at once they sometimes do a small discount, maybe down to 1600-1700 per pen. also worth asking at the government pharmacy near Victory Monument, the one under the BTS at Ratchathewi, they stock insulin for way less but you'll need a Thai prescription and might have to wait a bit for Toujeo since it's not the most common one there

honestly 2000 baht for a month of Toujeo from a hospital is not bad at all, you might only save a little at a pharmacy. try Fascino on Sukhumvit Soi 31 or the one near Phra Khanong BTS, they have a good selection and usually fair prices. if you bring your prescription they might knock off a bit more, but expect it to still be around 1700-1800 baht for the same pen. also check out the pharmacy inside Samitivej Sukhumvit's outpatient building, they sell to walk-ins sometimes cheaper than the main hospital counter

fwiw 2000 baht from a hospital is actually pretty reasonable for Toujeo in Bangkok, you might only save 200-300 baht at most from a pharmacy. if you have a Thai prescription you could try the pharmacy at Bumrungrad's basement level, they sometimes sell to walk-ins at closer to wholesale prices than the main hospital counter. another option is checking with the Diabetes Association of Thailand near Victory Monument, they sometimes have deals on insulin for people without insurance but you'd need to call first and see if they do Toujeo specifically

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
