Anyone go climbing at stonegoat?
No pressure, but I'd be down to do a climbing trip to Railay/Tonsai or somewhere in Vietnam as well! If enough pe… I'm planning to go regularly, so if anyone wants a climbing buddy please let me know.

If it matters I'm an American dude climbing at around V5 indoor. Probably weaker these days 😂
I climb at Stonegoat pretty regularly on weekends. If you're looking for outdoor trips, Tonsai is the move, but honestly Krabi town has some decent crags too if you want to skip the beach scene. There's a group on Facebook called Bangkok Climbing Club that organizes trips every few months, last one was to Crazy Horse in Chiang Mai.
If you're serious about outdoor trips, don't sleep on Ta Khun Si in Krabi for sport climbing. It's quieter than Tonsai and the limestone routes are more varied. Stonegoat is fine for training but the ventilation gets rough around 4pm on weekends. There's a solid crew that meets at the wall in Ekkamai on Tuesday nights if you want more options for partners.
yeah stonegoat is solid but heads up the grading is sandbagged as hell, v5 indoor there is maybe v3 at a normal gym lol. i climb at the wall bangkok in on nut sometimes if u want a change of pace, way softer setting and the ac actually works. definitely down for a tonsai trip though, the climbing there is unreal compared to anything in bkk
best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026
yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
