There's a proper costume shop on the top floor of Central Ladprao, near the cinemas. They have a decent selection of Halloween stuff and the cape prices are reasonable, around 300-500 baht depending on the fabric. I'd check there before heading to Chatuchak, especially if you want something that looks intentional rather than a pinned bedsheet.

Just check any of those fabric stalls at Chatuchak market, they sell lengths of black cloth cheap. You can prob pin it together in five minutes.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
