honestly the easiest thing is to go to asiatique the riverfront night market, they have a bunch of rental shops set up specifically for tourists and it's a quick ferry ride to wat arun from there. prices are a bit higher like 600-800 baht but the dresses are nicer quality and they'll help you get dressed properly. if you want something cheaper the bangkok yai area near wat arun has random little tailor shops that do rentals, just walk around soi wang lang and you'll see signs

just type "chut thai rental" into gmaps and a bunch will pop up around bangkok. there's a street called charoen krung soi 30 near wat arun that has multiple shops doing this, usually around 300-500 baht for a full day. i'd go early morning if u can, they run out of popular sizes fast

You might be able to find some shops near the weekend market that sell or rent traditional thai clothes, it's worth checking out.

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
