honestly you can just dial 777 then a code from the AIS website to buy a data pack straight from your balance. if u have zero balance tho, most mom and pop shops on any soi sell AIS top-up for like 50 baht, just ask for "ais thai top-up" at the counter. also the AIS app lets u buy with credit card if u have wifi somewhere

if u can get to any bts station, the ticket booths usually sell ais top-up too. or just hop on any wifi at a cafe or mcdonald's and use the ais app to buy a data pack with a card, it's instant. also some family mart locations have the machines where u can top-up with cash

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
