Yeah it's been raining almost every evening but not the kind that sticks around. I was out near Ari last night and it poured for like 40 minutes then everything was dry by the time I finished my beer.

The rain here is more of a daily nuisance than a disaster. You'll get these sudden heavy bursts in the late afternoon or early evening, and some streets around Sukhumvit Soi 22 or Ekkamai can get ankle-deep for an hour or two, but it drains fast. The city's drainage has gotten better in recent years, so you're not looking at the kind of prolonged flooding they're dealing with up north. Just keep an eye on the sky around 4 PM and plan your commute accordingly.

Nah, Bangkok's been getting some rain but nothing like the north. It's more of a heavy afternoon downpour that clears up fast, not the kind that sticks around for days and floods everything.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
