The best Pool/Snooker tournaments in Bangkok?

Hi all, looking for some friendly competition in Bkk during my trip. Preferably in and around Sukhumvit area but Silom or other surrounding areas also ok. honestly the best kept secret is the weekly thai 8ball comp at bankok billiard on ekkamai soi 10, it's like 150 baht and the local players are proper serious. they run it every tuesday night around 8pm and the tables are actually tournament-spec, not those beat up ones u see in most bars. ngl the crowd is mostly thai regulars but they're friendly if u show up with a decent game, just dont expect much english. if ur near asok and want something tonight the pool hall at robinson on sukhumvit 21 has a looser friday night thing but the cues are kinda trash

depends what level ur looking for tbh. the pool hall at nana on soi 4 has a decent weekly tournament on wednesdays, nothing too serious just 100 baht entry and some local regulars who are actually pretty good. if u want something more structured check out the thai pool league events at paradise billiards on sukhumvit 33, they run proper 8ball comps every other thursday and the tables are kept way better than nana. silom has a couple spots but honestly the crowd is more casual drinkers than players

If you're up for a bit more of a challenge, check out the monthly 9-ball tournament at Score Bar on Sukhumvit 26. It's 200 baht entry and draws a mix of expats and Thais who actually know their way around a table. The place itself is more of a sports bar vibe, but the tournament crowd is serious enough that you'll get a good game. They usually start around 7pm on the last Saturday of the month, and the winner takes home a bar tab plus some cash.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
