honestly, if you're around Asoke, check out The Emporio Suites or Citrus Suites. Emporio is right by Phrom Phong BTS, so it's a quick hop to Asoke but a bit quieter at night. Citrus is closer to Asoke itself and usually has decent monthly rates if you negotiate.

fwiw, Ekkamai has some hidden gems like The Residence on Thonglor or Aspire Ekkamai. The Residence is older but spacious and the staff are super chill, plus you're walking distance to the bars and restaurants on Thanon Ekkamai. Aspire is newer but prob pricier, though the pool area is nice.

one thing to keep in mind is that many places here will want a deposit and first month upfront, and some include utilities while others charge extra. ask about electricity rates specifically, some buildings overcharge on that.

if you want something a bit more budget-friendly around ekkamai, try The Lofts Ekkamai. it's not as fancy as some but the rooms are decent and you're right near the main road with easy access to the BTS and all the local street food stalls. just watch out for the utility charges, they can sneak up on you

I'd also look at The Room Sukhumvit 38 if you're leaning toward Ekkamai. It's a bit tucked away so it's quiet, but still a short walk to the BTS and the rooms have kitchenettes which is nice for longer stays. Also check out Fraser Suites on Sukhumvit 49 if you want something a little more upscale but still reasonable for monthly rates.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
