Depends on which side of the street you're on, and what time of year you go. High season (November - February) is generally busier and noisier, especially around Sukhumvit. The Pattern Boutique might be okay if you're on a higher floor, but street noise in @Bangkok is intense sometimes. Earplugs are definitely a good idea. I'd also suggest bringing a white noise machine – those little portable ones are lifesavers. Failing that, a good sleep mask and some decent earplugs are your best bet. It's a vibrant city, so you'll hear things... prioritize good sleep, it'll make your trip so much better.
