Best place to get iPad battery replaced?

My old IPad battery is terrible - is MBK or Fortune Town a better bet for getting it replaced and what kind of expense am I looking at? Thanks!! My old IPad battery is terrible - is MBK or Fortune Town a better bet for getting it replaced and what kind of expense am I looking at? Thanks!!

If you want to avoid the haggling and crowds entirely, check out the official Apple Authorized Service Provider at CentralWorld on the 4th floor. They'll charge you a fixed fee around 2,500 to 3,500 baht depending on the model, but you get a proper warranty and genuine parts. The smaller shops at MBK or Fortune Town are fine for older iPads where the cost of official repair is nearly half the device's value, but for anything recent I'd eat the extra cost for peace of mind.

Fortune Town's IT floor has a couple of solid repair stalls too, usually a bit less crowded than MBK. I'd check out the shop near the escalator on the second level, they've been around for years and actually test the battery before sealing it up. Pricing is about the same as MBK, maybe 100-200 baht less if you haggle a bit. Make sure they give you a warranty sticker on the receipt, some of the smaller stalls won't stand behind their work if something goes wrong.

The repair stalls on the third floor of Pantip Plaza are worth a look too, it's a bit quieter than MBK and the guys there tend to specialize in Apple stuff. I paid 1,200 baht for a iPad Air 2 swap there last year and they finished it in about 45 minutes while I waited. Just keep in mind Pantip has gotten less busy over the years so some shops close earlier, aim to get there before 6pm.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
