Pretty sure the policy hasn't changed, kids are fine before the music kicks off in earnest. One thing worth knowing is the whole venue is non-smoking now, which makes a big difference compared to how it used to be. Your 10 year old will probably get a kick out of watching the band set up if you get there early, and the garlic pepper pork ribs are still a solid choice for a kid who doesn't want anything too adventurous.

yeah they still let kids in before 9pm or so, same as before. just sit upstairs or in the back if you want it a bit quieter, the live music starts around 8 and gets loud fast. honestly your kid will prob be fine as long as you leave before the late crowd shows up around 10. i'd grab a table by the window on the second floor, better view and less cigarette smoke drift

It's been at least that long for me too, and the vibe is basically the same. Your 10-year-old will be fine early, just aim for that 6pm opening like someone else said. I'd suggest grabbing a table on the ground floor near the side wall, you get a decent view of the stage without being right in the speaker blast. The pad prik sod tod is still a good bet for something mild, and they do a decent kids sized portion of rice if you ask.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
