No luck with either Thai post or Fed Ex - won't ship air because of the battery and it's a model with a non removal battery. Any suggestions or an off chance that someone is heading to Toronto in the next few weeks and doesn't mind grabbing it with them?

the dhl on sathorn is prob ur best bet like others said but call ahead and ask for the hazmat team specifically, not the regular counter. also check with DHL Express Easy at the emquartier mall, they take battery stuff if u fill out a lithium battery declaration form and tape the phone in a fireproof bag. worst case, there's a guy on sukhumvit 22 near the japanese place that does sea freight for electronics, takes 6-8 weeks to canada but only like 800 baht

You might have better luck with a private courier like DHL's drop-off service. They're usually more flexible with lithium battery shipments if you declare it properly as damaged or defective goods. There's a DHL office on Sathorn Road near the BTS that handles this kind of thing. Just be prepared for a higher cost compared to regular post.

If you're really stuck, another option is to find a freight forwarder that handles sea cargo. A lot of them on Sukhumvit Soi 33 or near the port will take battery items on a boat, just takes 4-6 weeks to Canada. Way cheaper than DHL too, might be a couple hundred baht.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
