honestly, Ban Bu community by the river. it's this tiny old neighborhood tucked behind Thonburi, not far from Klong San BTS but feels worlds away. they still do handmade copperware there, like actual hammering, and you can watch if you're quiet about it. most tourists just pass by on the Chao Phraya boat and never get off. grab a coffee at one of the canal-side shacks and just watch the longtails go by, it's dead quiet even at noon
the artists house in bangkok noi is pretty slept on. it's this wooden gallery with a tiny cafe and people just painting, not a single selfie stick in sight. the bts doesn't go near it so you have to take a boat or walk which keeps it quiet
if u wanna see something truly overlooked check out the old customs house near khlong toei. it's this crumbling colonial building right by the port, feels abandoned but it's not. no signs, no crowds, just graffiti and river views. weirdly peaceful for how close it is to the chaos
