Good Khao Soi near Platinum Mall?

Will be in town next week and I really miss khao soi. I know it is a Chiang Mai dish, but hoping to find a really good one near Platinum/Grand Diamond Suites. Thanks/khap khun ka! theres a place in platinum mall itself actually, on the 6th floor food court. i know food court khao soi sounds sketchy but they've been doing it for years and its surprisingly decent. the lady who runs it used to have a shop in chiang mai before moving here. 80 baht with a chicken leg, comes with pickled mustard greens and shallots on the side. not the best in bangkok but definitely the closest to your hotel

honestly there's a spot called khao soi chiang mai at the old sae phraeng intersection, it's about a 10 minute walk from platinum through the pratunam market area. they do a solid version with the right balance of curry and coconut milk, plus they'll add extra crispy noodles if u ask. just go before 1pm or they might run out of the good cuts of chicken

another option is khao soi sukhothai which is a bit further but worth the walk, maybe 15-20 mins from platinum. they use a slightly thicker curry base that clings to the noodles better, and the chicken is fall-off-the-bone tender. it's on petchaburi soi 15, tucked behind a massage place. they close at 3pm so go for lunch

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
