Fascino is the usual recommendation and it's solid, but if you're on Soi 11, the little pharmacy inside the Villa Market on the corner of Soi 11 and Sukhumvit is surprisingly good for basics. They carry Now Foods and Doctor's Best which are reliable US brands, and you won't have to deal with the Sukhumvit traffic. For anything obscure like specific amino acids or herbal extracts, you'll want to make the trip to the Vitamin Factory at Terminal 21, they have the widest range in the area and the staff actually knows what they're talking about.

Head over to Fascino Pharmacy on Sukhumvit Soi 5, it's a short walk or quick taxi from Soi 11. They stock a huge range of international brands like Blackmores and Swisse, plus local options that are just as good and cheaper. For something closer, the Boots on Soi 11 itself is decent but the selection is smaller and prices are a bit higher. If you need specialty stuff like protein powders or specific sports supplements, check out the Vitamin Factory branch at Terminal 21, it's only a couple BTS stops away from Nana.

If you're on Soi 11, the pharmacy at the back of Foodland on the corner of Soi 5 is my go-to for everyday stuff like vitamin C or magnesium. It's open 24 hours and the prices are consistently lower than Boots or Watson's. For higher end brands like Solgar or Jarrow, the Fascino everyone mentions is your best bet, but try the one on Sukhumvit 5 rather than the bigger branch on Soi 3, it's less crowded and the staff there have been around longer. Just don't expect anyone to speak fluent English about the ingredients, have a photo of what you want ready on your phone.

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
