Getting from Khaosan Road to BKK airport and back using BTS/Rail Link and Bolt?

Am I able to park my car at one of the BTS stations? I don't feel like dealing with traffic and airport parking to wait for my brother's flight to land. Also what time does the BTS/Airport link begin operating?

Any help much appreciated!

honestly just take a taxi from khaosan to the airport link at phaya thai, it's like 80 baht and way less hassle than trying to navigate bts with luggage. the airport link runs from 6am to midnight, so if his flight lands after that you're stuck with a cab anyway.

for parking, none of the bts stations have lots but some mrt stations do. i'd park at chatuchak park mrt on the weekend when it's free, or bang sue mrt has a proper lot for like 20 baht a day. then take mrt to makkasan and switch to the airport link.

if you're heading back to khaosan after picking him up, bolt from the airport is prob 300-400 baht depending on traffic. the bts to national stadium then a tuk tuk works too but lugging bags through siam interchange at rush hour is a nightmare

You can drive to Ratchaprarop station on the Airport Rail Link, it has a proper parking garage for about 50 baht a day. That puts you one stop from Makkasan if you need to switch lines, or you can go straight to the airport from there. The train starts at 5:30am and runs until midnight, so check your brother's arrival time.

If his flight lands after midnight, Bolt from Khao San will run you around 350-400 baht with no traffic, or more if you hit the odd late-night construction. The airport taxi stand is a flat 50 baht surcharge plus meter, which usually comes to about 250-300 baht to Khao San depending on the route.

The closest BTS station to Khao San is National Stadium, about a 15-20 minute walk or a quick tuk-tuk ride. You can't park a car at BTS stations, they don't have parking lots. What you'd want to do is drive to one of the MRT stations on the outskirts, like Lat Phrao or Bang Sue, which have proper parking, then take the MRT to Makkasan to connect to the Airport Rail Link. The BTS starts around 6am and the Airport Link starts at 5:30am, so if your brother's flight lands early you might need a taxi from Khao San instead.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
