Ideas of where to find Strong Zero in Bangkok?

I'm in Bangkok for a few days, staying a bit south of iconsiam. A friend of mine has a band named string zero (after the Japanese alcoholic beverage) and I hoped to bring him some. I found some two ye… I'm in Bangkok for a few days, staying a bit south of iconsiam. A friend of mine has a band named string zero (after the Japanese alcoholic beverage) and I hoped to bring him some. I found some two years ago in a grocery store, but I don't remember which one. I hoped that Japanese convenience stores would have it, but I have been to two so far and have had no luck (though I did find a similar brand).

Any ideas? I can't travel too far to get it, but a 30 minute cab ride would be reasonable.

fwiw I've seen Strong Zero at the MaxValu in Sathorn, it's in the basement of the Sathorn Square building. prob a 15 min cab from south of iconsiam. their Japanese section is small but they usually have the lemon and plain ones. also check the little Japanese grocery in the basement of Silom Complex, it's called Fuji Super or something similar, they had it last time I was there but that was a few months ago

honestly your best bet is probably Don Quijote at Thong Lo, it's like a 20 min cab from where you're at. they have a whole section of imported Japanese booze including Strong Zero, I've seen the grapefruit and lemon ones there. the ones closer to Sathorn might be smaller and less stocked

if Don Quijote is too far, try Villa Market at Suan Plu. it's closer to you, just past Saphan Taksin. they have a decent selection of Japanese stuff but they run out fast so timing is everything. I'd call ahead to check

also worth checking the 7-Eleven near the BTS at Wongwian Yai, the bigger ones sometimes carry it. but yeah the grocery store u found it at two years ago was probably Villa Market honestly

i'd try Tops Market at CentralSilom, they got a solid import section and i've seen strong zero there before. closer than thong lo at least.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
