What are some other outdoor venues to have a chill beer and watch the boats go by?

You should try Sathorn 11 Pier. It's a little hidden spot behind the BTS, right on the water with cheap beer and decent Thai food. The view is more industrial than Jack's but it feels authentic and you can watch the ferries load up. Gets busy after 6 with the after-work crowd so grab a table early.

for a super chill spot with no frills, check out the deck at khlong san market. it's right on the water, cheap beer, and you get the local ferry chaos instead of fancy boats. way less touristy than jack's

try octave rooftop at the riverfront. not exactly outdoor but the terrace has solid views of the river and the skyline, especially at sunset. it's on charoen krung so you can walk along the river path after. pricier than jack's but the vibes are worth it if you want something a bit more polished

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
