Bank savings account for foreigners?

Are there any other bank accounts in Thailand that offer a savings account (with interest) to foreigners?

Thank you!

try kasikorn, they have a basic savings account that gives like 0.25% interest and theyre usually fine with just a passport + visa. also some branches on sukhumvit are used to dealing with expats so you might have better luck there than a random one. the phone bill thing is annoying but if u get a postpaid plan from ais or true for a month that usually satisfies them if u try scb again later

honestly Bangkok Bank is prob your best bet, theyre used to dealing with foreigners and their requirements are way more chill than SCB. just bring your passport and work permit if u have one, or even just a letter from your embassy sometimes works.

yeah check out krungsri (bank of ayudhya), their savings accounts are pretty straightforward for foreigners. i just walked in with my passport and non-b visa at the asoke branch, no phone bill or work permit needed. interest is low like everywhere else but at least they'll let you open it

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
