Hello, Im looking for a specialist veneer dentist in Thailand. Don't mind if it's a bit expensive, but want to make sure it's good quality material and skill.

I have been looking for a few dentists so far and I realized many of them dont show their patients before and after in a proper way. They show the before and after as if they were instagram picked pictures to show the person instead of showing the veneers in close detail.

Any recommendations??? Thank you.

You might want to check out Bangkok International Dental Center on Sukhumvit Soi 49. They have a lab on-site so they're more hands-on with the quality control, and their before and after photos actually show close-ups of the tooth work rather than just glamour shots. A full set of porcelain veneers there will run you around 180,000 to 250,000 baht depending on the brand of ceramic they use. I've seen people complain about the more Instagram-focused clinics using cheap materials from China, so ask specifically what brand of porcelain they're using before you commit.

I'd recommend checking out Thantakit Dental on Petchburi Road. They've been around for ages and specialize in cosmetic work so their gallery actually shows macro shots of the veneers, not just face pictures. Their prices start around 200k baht for a full set but you're paying for the reputation and the senior docs there.

honestly id just look at the ceramic brand they use, a lot of places put instagram veneers but the material is junk. bkk has some decent labs but ask if they use ivoclar or emax, that usually separates the good from the bad

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
