I am a software developer with over 5 years of experience, primarily in JAMstack, and have recently delved into mobile development with React Native. Additionally, I have another 5 years of experience in sales, marketing, and eCommerce.
I'm currently exploring opportunities for office work in Thailand, whether it's with startups, projects, or any ventures where my skills can contribute. I understand that many tech roles might require a foreign manager, such as a tech lead, to meet visa requirements, as Thailand prioritizes jobs for Thai workers, from my understanding.

Yeah the Bangkok dev slack group is a good shout. You could also try the facebook group "Bangkok Tech Jobs" or "Bangkok Digital Nomads" - people post looking for devs with ecommerce experience pretty regularly there. For the visa stuff, look into the Smart Visa program, it's designed for tech workers and you don't need to be a manager to qualify.
honestly your skillset is pretty solid for the bangkok scene. the visa thing is less strict for tech than people think, a lot of startups here just hire through a service like igloo or belay for the work permit stuff so you don't need to be a "manager" necessarily. check out the bangkok .dev slack group, there's a jobs channel that gets random leads posted pretty often. also the hubba coworking spaces in thonglor or ekkamai sometimes have bulletin boards or events where founders are literally looking for a react native person on the spot.
The Bangkok tech scene is honestly more about who you know than what you know. Try hitting up some meetups at GetLinks or the Bangkok Hackerspace, founders there are always looking for devs with sales backgrounds.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
