Does anyone feel like Internet is slow this last week?

This past week, my phone data has been slow. I use AIS and even though in open spaces, it was slow to the point that it won't load.

My friends has been experiencing the same. What about you?

honestly same here, i'm on true and it's been choppy around asok after 6pm. but i think it's more the network congestion from all the rain we're getting, the signal bounces off the wet air weirdly. if ur on ais and it's bad in open spots, try toggling airplane mode, sometimes the phone sticks to a weak tower and won't let go. or just switch to 3g manually, it's slower but at least it loads. my friend on ais said resetting network settings fixed it for a day, worth a shot.

ngl my fiber at home has been fine but mobile data is a mess too, im on true and it dies around siam like clockwork. could be they're doing maintenance on the towers, they usually do that around this time of year before the big holidays. if it's real bad, try downloading a vpn app, sometimes it reroutes around the bottleneck and speeds things up. worked for me last week.

yeah i noticed it too, especially around thong lo and ekkamai. my dtac is fine at home but as soon as i hit the bts it drops to 3g sometimes. could be the heat messing with the towers, happens every year around this time. or maybe it's all the tourists roaming, who knows. if it keeps up, try switching to true for a week, their 5g has been solid for me lately.

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
